"ya wonder where I been/ I been workin" - Erik Sermon-Headbanger
Peace yall. Been working on mad music lately!!! I got my album TALENT doing it's thing. I cannot figure out the paypal store stuff yet, but hopefully you'll be able to buy my stuff here and on myspace soon.
Just finished recording a mixtape that's on a cd. hahahaha......still don't get that whole thing. I hooked up with Matteo Getz again and he blessed me with some goodie-goodies. I'm in the process of mixing now, so no official release date. I never come close to the deadlines any way.
speaking of Matteo, his single "HERE WE GO AGAIN" feat. KRS-ONE and our boy HELLAFAKTZ from Canada just finished charting. It spent 6 weeks on the college charts and peaked at 3!!!
and we just got my joint "HERE NOW" on there too. It was the second most added track in the country. Big up Papa D promo!!!........... so check it out and call WERS and request it.....they hate me so it should be fun.......if your bored between 10p and 2a dial 617-482-8890. Tell em play J.D.O. 'HERE NOW" hahaha....good looks.
on the horizon is a self-produced EP which is tentavely titled "THE AIR" it's gonna be a little weird and maybe a more experimental. Also coming together in it's extremely infantile stage is an album produced solely by my man S-GRACE. In my head, its gonna be my Illmatic, but we'll see what happens.
I've also been in talks with my boy CAS-UNO aka the head honcho at LABELESS ILLTELLIGENCE. I'm trying to release a project with these dudes!!! they still make music that's inspiring and relevant.....check em out ASAP.
Also been seeking coverage in a Brazilian hip-hop magazine, it's long ways away but i got a hook up with my boy RAPHA MC. one of the most talented rappers i've known........he raps in porteguese and it's dope!
which brings me to the video. Enough audio news........since last summer i've been involved with 3 videos. One was mine, one was Rapha MC's and the latest was with Jaxn, the godfather of Framingham Hip Hop.
check em.............peace!

KG Corleone
Remember in Godfather 2 when Frank Pentangeli was gonna rat out Michael and the rest of the Corleone family? They couldn't get to him and make him stop. He was being guarded on an army base by the FBI. They really had no options........until they had his brother come from Sicily. His older brother sat in the back with Michael and Tom Hagen. It reminded Frank of what honor was and it made him ashamed of his actions.
K.G. should have suited up for game 7!!! He didn't even have to play. He could have just been there like the elder Pentangeli to remind the young of how important this thing really is!!! It would have scared Orlando and pumped up La familia de Celtics!!!
The only good thing coming from this season's end is the weeding out of the band wagoner's.
peace till next time people

cd's ruined everything
When Hip-hop became marketable it was on wax. Soon it was on cassette. The thing about these mediums is that you generally play them through. It's not too easy to skip tracks.......not as easy as a cd anyway.
so what's your point?
My point is that in the era of the cassette (in my opinion, when hip-hop ruled), you had to make a good album......EPMD had to make great albums.......Show & AG had to make a good album. These people had to make something that could be played straight through! If you remember back to the early 90's, playability was a huge selling point. We judged albums......whole albums...singles could be dope but if the album sucked, no point in picking it up.
With the dawn of the disc, we saw a single being placed in the middle of 12 other fluffy, fraudulent so-called songs. And people were buying it! HUH? That album is terrible, people still copp it for the 2 jams they wanna hear. Why is this all possible? Because you can skip tracks so easily that the masses don't mind paying $15 for an inflated single!!!
Now there's mp3's and it kinda takes care of the other tracks on a so-called album that stink, but it further kills the art!!!
THE ART OF THE ALBUM IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!
